In 2010, whilst working as Personal Trainers, we undertook a specialist course in developing training and exercise programs for people with limited mobility/disabilities.

This opened our eyes to just how little the fitness industry has done to enable people with disabilities to have access to exercise.

Problems accessing facilities, and a lack of understanding on the part of the vast majority of Personal Trainers, excluded people with mobility problems, disabilities or injuries from living a fitter, healthier lifestyle.

Inclusive Lifestyle Fitness was born from the intention to remove this exclusion of less able bodied people.  We at Inclusive Lifestyle Fitness believe that everyone has the right to live their lives to the full.

  • In 2007 I suffered a fracture and dislocation of my elbow and subsequently I had to undergo two operations to try to repair all the damage that was done to it. I was incapacitated for almost one year before I could return to full time employment. I have tried to get back to full fitness since late 2008 and have asked a number of trainers what I could do to try and get my arm to some sort of normality but it has to be said that I was not successful. Until I met Craig I was at my most desperate and whilst I was in the gym and asked Craig for his advice. I explained my problem to him and from the start he was very enthusiastic in his approach to help me. I made my first appointment with him for a few days later and when we met he said he had been thinking about what we could do to make the arm better and stronger. Since then we have worked very closely and found out my arm`s good and bad points, what it can and can`t do, because I do not have a full elbow joint any more it can restrict some movements. Craig has restored my confidence in myself and he has helped me build my arm`s strength up as well as my general fitness extremely well. He takes a great interest and a great pride in his approach to a challenge and never ceases to amaze with his endless efforts to help a client such as myself.   • Travis has got me to a weight I have not seen for 20 years. My sessions with Travis are fun, and I hate exercising. Travis varies the work out so you never know what to expect and never get bored, which has been a problem for me with previous trainers, he might have you running up and down stair, going for brisk walks, boxing, using weight or doing tug-of-war, and 1 session I think he might have even got me dancing. Travis has a genuine interest in his clients, and he tailors the routine to your needs but also to make you do the best you can on that day. I have recommended Travis to everyone I know; he is polite, kind, funny, motivating and makes exercising enjoyable.
